How and where the Vedas originated are subjects of much debate amongst Hindu circles. The opinions are divergent. Some believe that the Vedas are millions of years old while others consider them to be not more than five thousand years old. When I read through the many articles written on this subject by Hindus themselves, I found that almost all of them assumed the Vedas to be eternal. Hence, the question of the origin of Vedas is never dealt with properly. Those Hindus who addressed this question trivialized it, knowing well the amount of contradictory opinions within Hindu texts. I will attempt to bring together whatever information we get from authoritative Hindu texts regarding this issue.

The most popular among the Aryan religions is Hinduism. ‘Hindu’ is actually a Persian word that stands for the inhabitants of the region beyond the Indus Valley. However, in common parlance, Hinduism is a blanket term for an assortment of religious beliefs, most of which are based on the Vedas, the Upanishads and the Bhagavad Gita.

It's typical of Christians. Many of them boast with pride about the Biblical Jesus' character thinking that anyone who reads about him would be so amazed by the beautiful character of this man that they will just simply submit to the Gospels at once. Well this only works for people who use their emotions and not their intellect. I have read the Gospels and as a so-called 'God Incarnate', I don't find the Biblical Jesus to be impressive at all. As for a human Prophet, I think I can rank the Biblical Jesus 'Average' and as for an ordinary man, I would have to admit that he is a great man, but nothing more.

When Almighty Allah sent His last and greatest Prophet, Muhammad [peace be upon him /PBUH], mankind was immersed in a state of degeneration. The messages of the past prophets had been distorted and ignored, civilization was on the decline and humanity had slumped into an age of darkness, with disbelief, oppression and corruption prevalent everywhere. The condition of the world at that time presented the gloomiest picture ever of human history.

At the time of Muhammad's birth, there existed two great powers on the earth: one in the East and another in the West. In the East there was the Persian Empire, and in the West, the Roman Empire. As it might be expected, these two powers were actively hostile towards each other, and were more or less, permanently at war. with each other. They were, therefore, and disunited, though appearing to be otherwise. But despite their disunity and weakness, no serious effort was made to eradicate their causes.

It is probably true that the thing that philosophers have in common is the problems they grapple with, not the solutions they propose.  So it is a mistake to ask about the answers of philosophy to a given question, since the number of answers may equal the number of philosophers, or at least the number of schools of philosophy.

It is typical and common of atheists to mock Islam when it talks about supernatural facts because they are anti-super naturalists and they don't believe in the supernatural realm. However, for God-believing people such as Christians to mock Islam for such matters is quite hypocritical.
